Taylor Sallade is a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She grew up watching her grandmother paint, enrolled in kids’ art lessons, and has been painting ever since. What was once a casual hobby became a passion for Taylor in 2020 when personal struggles paired with a pandemic to create a newfound anxiety. To cope, Taylor cried, prayed, and painted. While working as a youth pastor in Ocean Springs, Taylor began to sell her paintings for the first time. She later moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where she dedicated her porch as her art studio and began to expand her focus and interests. Today, her greatest inspirations are her family, her faith, and her interpretations of God’s handiwork in creation.
